Spooky season is almost upon us, and with it comes all manner of ghouls and ghosts. Our favorite variety, most definitely, has to be the edible variety – and a Manchester baker really delivered the goods this year.

On Tib Street, Manchester coffee and donut shop Siop Shop pulls out all the stops in October by combining two of the harvest season’s best attributes: Halloween and pumpkin spice.

Shaped like a small squash, its Pumpkin Spice Pumpkin Fritters are coated in an orange glaze and topped with a green sweet “stalk,” while inside they’re stuffed with a delicately spiced pumpkin custard.

Priced at £4.50 each, they’re available from the Northern Quarter cafe and donut shop all month alongside a selection of other Halloween-themed donuts (or ghoul’nuts, as they’re known). store owner).

Elsewhere you’ll find a range of coffees, classic donuts and salted caramel brownies, plus giant sausage rolls and a selection of savory danishes, filled with tomato, mascarpone and Parma ham, or braised leek and of feta.

This isn’t the first time that Siop Shop has impressed with their themed donuts. Earlier this year, the bakers behind the cafe also released a series of amazing Love Hearts Valentine’s Day specials.

The bakers team took the nostalgic favorite and firmly ushered it into 2022 with “raw, faded sentiments” like “kiss off,” “u stink,” and, our favorite, “prize pig.”
