BrewBurgers has served Southern Sarasota County’s most beloved burgers for the past decade.

BrewBurgers, which has served some of Sarasota-Manatee’s most beloved burgers for a decade, has announced plans for a new location and concept.

The owners are moving their Venice Island restaurant to Publix Square at 525 Tamiami Trail South to a larger space at the southern end of the same square, where they have been in business since 2015.

The new space is twice the size, with a large indoor dining area, a spacious outdoor dining area and the addition of a full liquor bar menu, according to a statement from BrewBurgers. The additional area will be used to accommodate more live bands and will serve as a “party space”.

The current location will be transformed into a New York-style pizzeria and bagel called Brew-Za-Bagels.

The BrewBurgers food truck will be parked behind the Elephant’s Trunk thrift store at the south end of the plaza during construction “as often as possible”.

“We had this excellent opportunity to move to a vacant space located at the southern end of the plaza where we have been operating for six years,” owner Michael Bacon said in a statement.

“We’re hosting the largest space so we can accommodate live bands and give our guests more room to enjoy our award-winning burgers and food and our new bar with a full liquor menu. Please be patient. with us during construction and we look forward to serving you soon! “

BrewBurgers will continue to operate its location at 370 Venice Commercial Court, which recently underwent a renovation that included a new patio for social distancing alfresco dining.

“We want to give our customers a new dining experience,” Bacon said in October 2020. “We have done some renovations, added an outdoor patio and are now serving Sunday breakfast and brunch. It’s a brand new BrewBurgers and we can’t wait to launch it.
