Bross Bagels will serve an incredible Pancake Day themed treat tomorrow

It’s fair to say that bagels don’t immediately spring to mind when Shrove Tuesday arrives.

Everything revolves around pancakes, and for good reason too.

However, the ever popular Bross Bagels firmly believe that there is no reason the two cannot mix.

And they’ve come up with a mouth-watering brand new creation in an effort to prove it.

For a day, only those in Bross, which have restaurants on Leith Walk, Queensferry Street and High Street in Portobello, will fill a bagel of your choice with scotch pancakes.

They’ll be complemented by a blueberry schmear and Canadian maple syrup, as well as maple glazed bacon if you’re looking for a real treat.

For vegans and veg, there will be an option with Sgaia’s special vegan bacon.

Pancake bagels will be priced at £ 5 or £ 6 with bacon, or £ 6.50 with vegan bacon.

So it’s fair to say that we’re convinced with this pancake bagel idea – and we’re probably not the only ones.

However, anyone looking to try this will need to act quickly.

Not only are they likely to fly off the shelves (or the toaster), but they’ll be available for tomorrow only as a Pancake Day special.
