Several members of the To go out the staff love it at the Egg Bite altar. Specifically, Starbucks Vacuum Egg Bites, for which I regularly spend a stupid amount of money. They’re quick, nutritious, and delicious, damn it. Now, Dunkin ‘ invests in the portable egg craze with a new menu item: Dunkin ‘Omelet Bites.

According to a press release sent to The takeaway, bites are served in sets of two, as are Starbucks bites. Omelet Bites are available in a bacon and cheddar flavor, with 17 grams of protein per order, as well as an egg white and veggie flavor, with 13 grams.

Dunkin ‘released the new omelet bites alongside several seasonal items meant to “reinvigorate New Year’s guests.” The seasonal menu includes a frozen oatmeal and brown sugar latte, mini bagel stuffed with chives and onion, and a Stroopwafel donut. Omelet bites are also available through what the brand calls an “eggstra special offer”, which allows DD Perks Rewards members to earn a free drink when they purchase omelet bites today, January 10, or tomorrow, January 11.

If you miss out on the aforementioned Omelet Bites promotion, you can still save a few bucks on Dunkin’s seasonal deals. Until February 5, customers can purchase a moderately hot or iced winter coffee blend for $ 2. Whether you showcase that sizzling cup of coffee with two little omelets in hand is up to you. Personally, I would go for it. You have to get your protein where you can find it. Plus, unlike Starbucks Egg Bites, Dunkin ‘Bites are shaped like little bagels. (Donuts? Are they bagels or donuts?)

One thing: According to the Dunkin ‘app, Dunkin’ Omelet Bites will set you back $ 5.29, compared to $ 4.95 for Starbucks Egg Bites. This is a bit surprising given the usual premium price at Starbucks. Will the Dunkin ‘Bites be worth the extra 34 cents? Stay tuned.
