FDA

A nationwide recall of Bantam Bagels Classic frozen stuffed mini bagels with cream cheese was posted Wednesday night on the FDA and Publix sites.

This food allergy recall covers lot #12031 with an expiration date of May 27, 2023, information found on both the outer packaging and the inner bag.

According to the recall notice written by the manufacturer Damascus Bakery OPCO, an incorrect item was placed in a carton and the item contained eggs. As the normal product does not contain egg, if this error is repeated elsewhere in the batch, it creates a hazard for people with egg allergies.

The recall notice included the following warning: “People allergic to eggs are at risk of serious or life-threatening allergic reactions if they consume items from this product lot.

Winn-Dixie issued the recall last week as affecting certain stores.

Customers are asked to discard any boxes they have and contact Bantam Bagels at 866-451-6744 for a replacement coupon.
