McDonald’s breakfast bagels are back in Michigan for a limited time

Breakfast bagels are back.

For a limited time in Michigan and Indiana, customers can order steak, eggs and cheese; bacon, egg and cheese; and sausage, egg, and cheese bagels at their local McDonald’s.

This is despite assurances from McDonald’s in January that a reunion was not in the cards. Breakfast bagels disappeared from the menu at the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic in early 2020 and, to the dismay of die-hard fans everywhere, never returned.

“It is with love and deep respect for each other that we announce that we are parting ways with Breakfast Bagels and Breakfast Wraps,” the channel wrote in January. “Despite speculation and after a period of trial separation, breakfast bagels and breakfast wraps will not return to the menu.

“We deeply adore each other, but our love for the iconic McMuffin was just too hard to ignore.”

The meeting in Michigan started in the southwest part of the state, but a media contact confirmed Thursday that the bagels are now available statewide. In Holland, we can confirm that bagels were not yet listed on food ordering apps, but were available in person.
