New Southtown Food Truck Serving Breakfast Bites to San Antonians on the Go | Flavor | San Antonio
Southtown residents and workers now have a new weekday option for the most important meal of the day.
The Breakfast Truck, a mobile restaurant offering breakfast bites, began serving the area, the Express-News reports.
Owners Sean and Venus Albert opened the mobile kitchen on Monday, offering four breakfast options including plates with scrambled eggs and a choice of bacon or sausage, along with hash browns and a bun.
Sando breakfast aficionados can choose between an English muffin with the option of egg, bacon or sausage or a grilled ham and cheese sandwich.
The tacos had long called the Alberts, who previously operated the Ay, Chihuahua! Taco food truck. However, the couple moved on to breakfast to fill what they saw as a void in the San Antonio food scene, the Express-News reports.
“There are a million taco trucks [in the city], but there really isn’t much that offers a traditional quick breakfast in this part of town,” Sean Albert told the Daily.
Everything on The Breakfast Truck’s menu is priced at $9.99 and includes a cup of coffee or a bottle of orange juice. Time-pressed customers can expect their orders to be hot and ready in 10 minutes.
The Breakfast Truck is located at 1203 S. Alamo St. and is open Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to noon.
