Pancake and waffle mix recalled due to presence of insects in Mississauga and Brampton

Health Canada reports that several products were recalled from stores in Ontario this week (December 13-19) due to potential health and safety risks, including stores in Mississauga and Brampton.

Residents are advised to check if they have these products at home and to avoid using or consuming them as a precaution.

The following products are affected:


Great Value Brand Complete Buttermilk Waffle & Pancake Mix

Risk: Possible presence of insects.

Affected products:

What you should do: Recalled food products should be discarded or returned to the location where they were purchased.


Taylor Farms Brand Maple Bourbon Chopped Salad Kit

Risk: Possible Salmonella contamination. Food contaminated with Salmonella may not look or smell bad, but can still make you sick with symptoms such as fever, headache, vomiting, nausea, abdominal cramps, and diarrhea.

What you should do: Recalled food products must be returned to the store where they were purchased. If you think you have become ill while eating any recalled product, contact your doctor.


Alasko brand IQF (Individually Quick Frozen) whole kernel corn
