Creative tackles pancakes for Mardi Gras at Tom’s Kitchen
Tom’s Kitchen restaurants in Chelsea, St Katharine Docks, Canary Wharf and Somerset House, are ready to celebrate with a selection of gourmet pancakes available for lunch and dinner on Tuesday 9th February. Choose from the lobster pancake with old-fashioned mustard and cheese or the potato pancake with duck egg and mushroom ragout. For dessert, the chefs of Tom’s Kitchen will serve pancakes with orange butter and marmalade.

Celebrate Mardi Gras at the Tower Bridge
Join Le Pont de la Tour for Mardi Gras or Mardi Gras on February 9 and celebrate Pancake Day in true French style! The chef, Frederick Forster, will serve the special retro classic Suzette crêpes which will be served in spectacular style at the table.

Soho favorite Blanchette teams up with Les Deux Amies
To celebrate Mardi Gras, Parisian bistro Blanchette will team up with French crepe and galette specialists Les Deux Amies to host an all-day crepe pop-up. Founders Adeline and Caroline, along with head chef Tam Storrar, will concoct fluffy crepes and galettes, offering both classics and Blanchette twists. Crepe lovers will recognize the traditional ham-cheese and egg galette, while more creative examples include a crepe filled with leeks, Fourme d’Ambert and toasted hazelnuts. Pancakes will be available on site and to take away.

Flippin’ eck; Stack of buttermilk pancakes at Big Easy Canary Wharf
Spend this Shrove Tuesday enjoying Big Easy’s Buttermilk Pancakes! The mighty stacks are served straight from the griddle and accompanied by maple syrup. Customers can choose from classic, blueberry and chocolate chip short stack (three pancakes, £4.50), tall stack (six pancakes, £5.50) or mega stack to share (nine pancakes, £6.50 ). For an extra £1, customers can add bacon or sausage to this Pancake Day pukka dish.

Holy Crepe! Prosecco and pancakes at OXBO Bankside
OXBO Bankside will be serving all-you-can-eat pancakes and a glass of prosecco for just £14pp this Mardi Gras. Keep it traditional with lemon and sugar or get creative with their wide selection of toppings. Choices include whipped cream, chocolate sauce, almonds, hazelnuts, chocolate chips, banana slices, fresh strawberries, orange segments, pear compote, golden syrup and even candy dazzling.

Celebrate Pancake Day at “La Crêperie de Bluebird”
This year, Chelsea favourite, Bluebird, will create a special creperie in the courtyard where customers can enjoy a series of gourmet crepes. Available from February 9 to 29, the Crêperie will offer savory and sweet options, including spinach, ricotta and tomato sauce, mushrooms, blue cheese and arugula, Bramley apple and caramel sauce and chocolate sauce, almonds and whipped cream.

Enjoy Mardi Gras at the City Coq d’Argent restaurant where chef Damien Rigollet has created a series of gourmet crepes for breakfast. Think American pancakes, berry compote and maple syrup and pancakes with mushrooms, poached egg and Hollandaise sauce…. Mmmmm!
