Red Velvet Brownie Bites by Mama Steph
TYLER, Texas (KLTV) — Whether it’s Valentine’s Day, an anniversary, or just an ordinary day when you want to show someone some love, these little red velvet brownies are a perfect idea. And they are so easy to make!
Red Velvet Brownie Bites
Ingredients:
1 chocolate brownie mix, plus the ingredients called for on your brownie mix box: eggs, oil and water usually
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
an extra egg
red food coloring
Decorating items: sprinkles, icing, etc.
Method:
Heat the oven to 350 degrees. Line a nine-inch square pan with foil, then spray the foil with cooking spray.
Prepare brownie batter as directed on box, adding reserved egg, vanilla extract and food coloring; mix well until the paste takes on a rich red color. Spread in pan.
Bake at 350 according to package directions.
Let cool completely before continuing. Then lift the brownies with the foil.
Place on a cutting board then remove the aluminum foil.
Cut with heart-shaped cookie cutters, if desired. If you don’t have any, it’s fine to cut into small squares by hand.
Decorate the brownies with homemade frosting (or buy premade frosting in the baking aisle at the grocery store) and sprinkle, and invite anyone over for a decorating session.
Alternatively, dust with powdered sugar if the frosting isn’t for you.
Enjoy!
