Three hearty and delicious sandwich combinations from Leo’s Bagels
Nothing beats a good bagel from New York and one from Lower Manhattan Leo’s bagels is one of the best in town. (We are biased, but it’s true!). You can’t go wrong with any of their offerings, even though you choose for a concoction of smoked salmon and capers on a cinnamon bagel like Cynthia Nixon. Along with all the classic spreads and shmears, Leo’s makes some fun specialty sandwiches featuring everything from eggs to latkes to more latkes.

The Hanover Hangover
A breakfast sandwich for the heavy hitters, this variant stuffed with bacon, egg and cheese comes with enough some toppings: two eggs, bacon, sausage, cheddar cheese and a potato latke. Although it’s not what we’d consider a daily sammy – although, hey, you do – as the name suggests, this protein and carb combo will definitely come in handy when you’ve had a little too much to drink the night before. .
Another appetizing, this beefy bad boy comes with two eggs, Nova Scotia salmon, potato latke and a cream cheese shmear. The salted salmon pairs exceptionally well with latke and eggs, and the sandwich is so flavorful it even makes a plain bagel stand out.
All the Shebang
Making your bubble proud, this baby is a concoction of cream cheese and smoked salmon with all the toppings: Nova Scotia “all” salmon, green onion cream cheese, tomatoes, Bermuda onions, cucumbers and capers, helpfully sandwiched by an all (natch) bagel. That’s how Leo owner Adam Pomerantz likes to eat his bagel, and he’s a bagel magician, so trust him.
One final note: bagel sandwiches are always delicious, but a great bagel doesn’t necessarily need a bunch of toppings to fill you up. Leo’s bagels are their own centerpiece and are just as good with a plain or shallot cream cheese shmear as they are with any toppings.
