You can order this pancake cake at the Milk Bar from this week
If your New Year’s resolution was to eat fewer sugary treats, you might want to consider planning a cheat day, because Milk Bar’s latest creation is sure to tantalize your taste buds.
Christina Tosi, chef, founder and owner of the iconic store, is launching a special edition of Pancake Cake this Wednesday. Available in limited quantities, the six-inch treat is made up of seemingly endless layers of pancakes stacked between brown sugar cookie butter, maple frosting and brown butter crumbs. The concoction is topped with a maple syrup glaze and an extra slice of butter on top. (Look at the pictures! That’s a real slab of this stuff!) We told you it was worth it.
The delicacy will be available in limited quantities, so be sure to hit up one of the local stores or order it online when it becomes available later this week.
An extra note: the cake is actually part of the Milk Bar dinner menu theme for the New Year, so in addition to a whole load of pancakes, sweet tooths will be delighted by the soft French toast (also available January 5 ) and Red Velvet Cheesecake (released later this month).
The iconic New York dessert franchise is clearly a champion of limited-edition offerings. Late last year Milk Bar teamed up with the one and only Mariah Carey to launch its own cake, and last summer Shake Shack tapped the company to create a new range of shakes. Needless to say, everything they prepared was absolutely delicious.
Set up these iPhone reminders and get ready to dive into pancake heaven in just a few days. Enjoy it, New Yorkers!
